Here’s how to plan a fun Construction birthday party:

Get some construction tape, mark off your construction zone and build an outstanding party for all the birthday party kids on your child’s birthday list.

Decorate the house or yard with simple home-made construction and hazard signs (STOP, YIELD, UNDER CONSTRUCTION), and yellow, orange and black balloons. Hard hats are a must for each guest, and for your little workers, fill lunch bags or John Deere favor boxes with fun snacks.

Order a construction area party cake, or make one yourself using a square or rectangular cake frosted with dark chocolate frosting, piles of debris (crushed cookies), Assorted Construction Vehicles, or using the John Deere cake topper kit. Top it off with a Construction Cone candle.

Need a couple construction game ideas? Consider filling a plastic pool with sand and bury objects for the guests to dig for. Adapt simple games to your theme, such as musical chairs, or a rely game. A Piñata is always a hit, and a John Deere Piñata filled with tiny plastic construction vehicles and treats for the birthday party kids to collect would be perfect.
