Here’s the sleepover  plan:

Ages 9-11 We love the fun party sleepover partyware shown here, but older girls will probably want something with a little more glitz, so be sure to also check out all our teen party supplies.

You won’t need to plan too many activities for a sleepover party, just provide spa accessories like facial packs and face masks, nail polish, hair clips etc., and the girls will do the rest! Show a chick-flick and let the girls chat into the wee hours of the morning.

Ask your teen to invite 4 or 5 girls, (any more just increases the potential for drama) and have them bring their pillow, sleeping bag, favorite music, and pajamas. Decorate a large room in the house for the girls, a den or living room with TV works great, and include a table with teen partyware and snacks.

Although you won’t need to hover over the girls, it is a good idea to pop in every once in awhile, help keep snacks and drinks re-filled, and watch out for any “boy crashers”. You may not get a lot of sleep this night, but your preteen will remember these parties the rest of their lives.

First There Was the Terrible Two’s, Then Come the Terrible Teen or Preteen!

This completely unpredictable group of young men and women are often the toughest to please, but can also be the most appreciative. When planning a party for your preteen or teenager, try to give as little advice as possible. Create the guidelines and set the boundaries and let them create the ideas for their party.  We’ve found some incredible party favors for teens, so text them the URL for this page and let them pick one!

BPK Tip: Encourage teen to choose one favor as a thank you gift to their friends for coming to their party.  Try to follow the theme of the party, like giving a tie dyed scarf at a 60′s party.  Better yet, how about making the scarves or making tee shirts as part of the party festivities?  It’s easy with this new Twisted Tie Dye Machine.

To start planning a teen boys birthday party first pick a theme. Keep it small, say five or six close friends, and at this stage limited to boys. Your activities may help you pick your theme so start there. Here are a few ideas:

Sports Theme. Transform your living room or den into a sports box with an ice chest full of soda and water, some sports posters up on the wall, indoor sports games, or a Wii sport competition.

Movie Theme. Pick a favorite movie and combine with pop-corn, pizza and soda.

“Gaming” Theme. Set up your game system to play on the TV. Divide the guest into two groups to compete, making sure each guest gets a chance to play. While the kids are playing the games serve pizza, chips and soda.

Let your preteen create his own invitations using the computer and printer. Be sure to send the invitations at least three weeks before the party and don’t forget the RSVP’s.

Toward the end of your party cut and serve the cake and have your birthday boy open any presents he received. Your timing should bring the party to a close just about now.

Create invitations; perhaps send each guest an invitation with a different countries flag! When the guests arrive have them color, or create with construction paper, their designated county flag to carry in your “opening ceremony”.  Flags are also an inexpensive party decoration.  Choose from many countries and shapes or for a fun prepartty activity you and our child can decorate your own flags with these great make your own flag kits.  They are also great for a combined party favor and activity.

Display a “winners board” with all your Olympic activities listed. You can find tons of Olympic party supplies, or you can easily make them. There are many, many activities to choose, from the simple ring toss, relay games, or shoe scramble, to the Olympic events like a disc throw, 100 yard dash, long jump or planned obstacle course using such items as boxes that they can jump over, hoola hoops they need to jump through, tubes they can crawl through, a balance beam, a wooden ladder placed on the ground to step over, crab walk, and/or a rope swing. Make a map of the obstacle course for each child complete with a numbered sequenced order of the events, marked by arrows, so each contestant understands the order of the game. When you are ready to play the game, have the children divide up into two teams at opposite ends. Have each child start at the beginning line and send them through one at a time. The first team to finish is the winner!

Be sure to have snacks between games, such as juice boxes, or refreshing popsicles, and don’t forget to give out prize medals, (coin chocolates) or trophies.  

The birthday cake can be a regular sheet cake with white frosting and the 5 colored Olympic Rings applied with frosting paint or food coloring.

A 60′s party is easy to plan.  It just lends itself to costumes, colors and creativity.  Here are our suggestions for this totally out -of-site party that will bring peach and love between mom and her  preteen or teen daughter.

Preteen young ladies ages 6-13.will love this party! In fact, it’s been tested by one of our Birthday Party Kidz and she loved it!  If you’re planning use they Glitzy Girls papergoods  for a makeover  party, a sleep over or any other party where  preteen girls (tween) just have fun!

Here are a couple suggestions for making this party a hit!

• Dig  out your old purses,  jewelry and clothes and have each girl dress up like a model and pose  with a cardboard photo cutout for a very special “Photo Shoot”. Use the “Photo” to send as a thank you note or, if you’re really quick, as party of the party favor!

We’re sure you know about Harry Potter.  A series of seven fantasy novels written by the British author J. K. Rowling. The books chronicle the adventures of the adolescent wizard  Harry Potter and the Hollywood films of Harry have been a huge success.

If your child is a Harry Potter fan, throw them a birthday party that Harry himself would love!
